About This Position

Position: Tow Driver	Facility: Wrench N Go Des Moines
Reports to: Facility Manager

Summary

Under supervision, operates tow truck picking vehicles for facility.

General understanding of vehicle mechanics, transmission types, front and rear wheel drive vehicles
Responsible for the pick-up of vehicles from various auction sites and customers in the local region and delivering back to yard in a safe and timely manner
Ability to operate a tow truck (experience preferred, but willing to train)
Excellent driving skills and valid driver’s license
Excellent communication skills
Responsible for collecting all paperwork and complying with all federal and state regulations
General sense of direction and general understanding of maps
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Must be at least 21 years of age
Committed to Safety
Other responsibilities as assigned

Safety:

Wears all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times. Failure to follow standards may result in loss of position.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must have Class D CDL and minimum 1-3 years verifiable experience. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.
