About This Position

We are currently looking for a Senior Community Navigator driven by a passion for serving older adults and ready to make a real, lasting impact in our community.
As our Senior Community Navigator, you will work under the general direction of the Community Well-Being Supervisor, collaborating with city departments and external organizations to coordinate information and referral services, outreach, education, and programming to reach seniors in need of services and support within Commerce City.
This role will be providing compassionate and empathetic support to seniors and their families, making a real difference in their lives. You’ll be the connection between our seniors and the resources that help them live independently and happily.

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field and a minimum of 1 year in a comprehensive senior service or human services program that demonstrates the applicant has proven experience in program administration, budgeting, and program evaluation. Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range is $57,798 - $64,220/annually

- Knowledge of
- poverty causes, trends, issues, and solutions
- existing community resources available to assist individuals in need
- proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, use of all parts of speech
- working with government, private and non-profit organizations on joint projects
- Skill in
- customer service and client relationship
- performing mathematical calculations; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, basic principles of algebra and geometry, and estimating time and weight
- Ability to
- apply comprehensive, practical, and technical knowledge with the use of analytical judgment and decision making abilities
- consider different points of view and to use elements of persuasion to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas, and to reach agreement
- engage clients in the field with direct service provision
- Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining filing systems
