As an Autism Counselor, you’ll:

Provide instruction and care using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Provide job coaching to develop and build vocational skills Build positive relationships and celebrate every success Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized educational programs Teach and support skill development in areas such as:
Communication and social interaction Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene Vocational and pre-employment skills Adaptive physical education and self-preservation
Receive paid training and coaching Promote a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree or enrollment in a 4-year program Compassion, patience and dedication to help autistic students who engage in challenging behaviors Valid Driver’s License with personal vehicle CPR training (can be completed with us during your first 6 months) NECC CALM training — Physical and Verbal De-escalation training and Medication Administration training (ability to get MAP Certified)
