Counselor Technician at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: The Counselor Technician provides supportive services to participants receiving Behavioral Health services. The Counselor Technician acts as support staff to the clinical and non-clinical staff. This position will assist individuals throughout the pre- and post-recovery process and help them gain skills, access to resources and regain the confidence to succeed in society. This position must have a detailed understanding of the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and be able to work with a wide range of clients experiencing chemical dependency issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver License
• BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association
• Chemical Dependency Tech/Behavioral Health Tech from the Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health within 6 months of employment.
