Systems Analyst - REMOTE

In this role, you will support critical data analysis and reporting functions for a federal agency, playing a key role in managing data processes, visualization, and technical assistance. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective data governance and visualization, contributing to the project's success and overall strategic goals. Your insights will directly impact decision-making and operational efficiencies within the agency. • Provide data analysis reports for submissions from various states.
• Conduct ad hoc data analysis as needed.
• Prepare documents for data collection processes.
• Assist in preparing budget documentation for leadership.
• Develop reports in Tableau Desktop across multiple divisions.
• Implement automated data preparation and cleaning processes using Tableau Prep and R.
• Administer Tableau Server, including setting permissions and publishing data sources.
• Perform big data mining and statistical analysis using SQL and R.
• Create documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
• Train analysts on developing worksheets and dashboards in Tableau.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on Tableau Server and Desktop.
• Translate business requirements into effective data visualizations.
• Create processes for data governance.
• Provide support for data collection, analysis, and visualization projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in database administration and data analysis.
• Experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in a government context.
• Expertise with Tableau, SQL, and MS Office (Excel).
• Proficiency in data mining, cleaning, and manipulation (SQL and R).
• Knowledge of data visualization platforms and scripting languages (Python, R, Matlab).
• Understanding of Gitlab CI/CD pipeline.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented.
