Global Sourcing Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Sourcing Manager based in United States.

The Global Sourcing Manager will lead strategic procurement initiatives, supplier development, and sourcing activities across designated product categories.
This role plays a key part in strengthening supplier partnerships, improving supply continuity, and supporting long-term operational goals.
The position requires a balance of strategic thinking, negotiation expertise, and hands-on supplier management.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role helps ensure supplier quality, compliance, and performance excellence.

Accountabilities:

The Global Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement excellence across assigned product lines. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize supplier performance, mitigate risks, and support business objectives through effective sourcing practices.

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to support product line requirements and commodity strategies.
  • Develop and manage sourcing initiatives, including bid requests, supplier proposals, and procurement documentation.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve competitive business outcomes.
  • Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives when required.
  • Build supplier risk mitigation strategies, including secondary and tertiary sourcing plans to ensure supply continuity.
  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, and other teams to support supplier onboarding and issue resolution.
  • Analyze market conditions, sourcing trends, and supplier capabilities to recommend strategic business actions.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced sourcing and procurement professional with strong negotiation capabilities, business judgment, and the ability to manage complex supplier relationships. The role requires excellent organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to solving supply chain challenges.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, supply chain, or a related business function.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier negotiations, contract management, and vendor relationship management.
  • Ability to assess sourcing risks, analyze market conditions, and develop effective procurement strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, or Legal.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and supplier initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted partnerships.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a professional approach to supplier and internal relationships.
