Lead Custodian in White Sands, New Mexico at Tresco, Inc.

Position: Lead Custodian (Night)

Overview

With supervision perform tasks required to meet the daily requirements as per custodial and grounds contract at WSMR.

Responsibilities

1. Coach custodians with job related skill development through hands on, verbal cues, and instructional task analysis, focus on employee success and develop cohesive teamwork.
2. Communicate with the Custodian Supervisor on issues or concerns regarding custodial staff.
3. Transport Custodian to and from WSMR.
4. Provide recommendations and technical assistance for accommodation and/or adaptive equipment.
5. Provide employer/co-worker orientation and ongoing education as needed.
6. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly document reporting as required.
7. Perform janitorial duties per contract schedule, requirements, and standards to include:
   • Clean/supply kitchens and break rooms
   • Clean/supply restrooms
   • Clean drinking fountains
   • Clean and disinfect toilets
   • De-scaling
   • Remove office trash
   • Sweep floors
   • Vacuum cleaning
   • Spot cleaning
   • Spray/buss floors
   • Wet mop floors
   • Interior window cleaning

8. Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education. High School or GED.

Experience. 6-months experience working in the janitorial field

Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with Tresco policy.

Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.

Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check. Note: For Federal position list NCICS Clearance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

1. Bilingual skills are not required but are beneficial.
2. Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.
3. Ability to work under stressful situations.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team setting
5. Ability to secure and maintain an NACI clearance.

Rate of Pay: $17.75/hour

Pay Range: WDR

Days and Hours: Mon-Fri 6:30PM- 3:00 AM
