Courtenay Nissan is currently seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive performance across both new and used vehicle departments. Role Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dealership’s new and used vehicle sales department. This includes coaching and mentoring the sales team, driving performance to achieve targets, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and supporting the overall profitability of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead From the Front
  • Be actively engaged on the sales floor, coaching and supporting the team in real-time
  • Set the standard for performance, professionalism, and customer experience
Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Sales Consultants
  • Drive accountability and continuous improvement across the team
  • Support individual development and performance growth
Own the Sales Process
  • Monitor lead management, follow-up, and closing ratios
  • Ensure consistent execution of dealership sales processes
  • Support deal structure and assist in closing opportunities
Drive Profitability
  • Work closely with the Finance & Insurance team to maximize gross and product penetration
  • Collaborate with the GM/GSM on inventory strategy, pricing, and merchandising
Customer Experience & Escalations
  • Handle customer concerns and escalations professionally and efficiently
  • Ensure a positive and consistent customer experience throughout the sales process
Performance & Strategy
  • Track, analyze, and report on key sales metrics
  • Implement strategies to improve performance, volume, and profitability
  • Support marketing and sales initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of automotive sales management experience (or equivalent leadership experience in a related industry)
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and drive accountability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and dealership software
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
