Hourly Wage: $21.00

Schedule: Approximately 30 hours/weekFlexible Hours, Hybrid in office/on-site/work from home position.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in promoting, celebrating, and documenting Urban Rec Society’s programming across all our locations. This individual will help bring our brand to life through engaging digital content that highlights our community events, sports leagues, and the diverse people who make our programs thrive. Working under the direction of senior staff, this role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling, visual media, and community impact through sport and recreation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Content Creation & Social Media:
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos at league nights, tournaments, and special events.
  • Draft and schedule social media posts to highlight program milestones, player profiles, staff spotlights, and behind-the-scenes features.
  • Create simple graphics and short-form video content (e.g., reels, TikToks) that align with our tone: inclusive, fun, and community-driven.
  • Monitor and respond to engagement on Urban Rec social channels.

Marketing Support & Promotions:

  • Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns to promote new programs, leagues, tournaments and event launches
  • Work to develop online promotional materials such as email newsletters, digital posters, and countdown stories for upcoming events or league nights.
  • Track analytics on engagement and suggest improvements for future campaigns.

Documentation & Storytelling:

  • Help capture testimonials and participant stories that reflect the positive impact of Urban Rec programs on people of all backgrounds and ability levels.
  • Maintain a content calendar that aligns with league schedules and key community dates.

Administrative Duties:

  • Organize and archive photos, videos, and digital assets in shared folders for future use.
  • Assist with light reporting and documentation for grant purposes (e.g., attendance at featured events, campaign reach summaries).
