JOB SUMMARY
A Dishwasher is responsible for washing and cleansing tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. This position keeps the restaurant and equipment clean and organized.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the restaurant and equipment clean and organized.
- Essential functions and responsibilities include the following:
- Load, run and unload dish machine.
- Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
- Monitor dish machine water temperature and sanitizer levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
- Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
- Keep dish room clean and organized.
- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
- Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designated times.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the dumpster zone.
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
- Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the
- restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or other Manager on duty.
- Proper knowledge of health code for washing procedures for both the kitchen and hygiene methods.
- Notify manager(s) on duty if emergencies arise.
- Open to assisting the prep cook during down time.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant environment is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both with guests and teammates
- A positive, upbeat attitude with a strong work ethic
- Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends.
- A valid Food Handler Card (must have upon hire)
- Ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage a physically demanding role
- Must be 18 years or older.
