JOB TITLE: Dishwasher
DEPARTMENT: Stewarding
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef/Kitchen Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. This position supports the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety standards. Supports Kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation and cleaning tasks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. • Wash, clean, and ensure sanitary dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand as needed. • Ensure they are available for use as promptly as possible with little to no breakage. • Help maintain high levels of cleanliness while completing washing assignments. • Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly. • Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas. • Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated locations. • Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures. • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, walls, coolers, storage areas, and workstations. • Restock kitchen supplies and assist with deliveries when necessary. • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and local health department regulations. • Maintain attendance and punctuality according to company standards. • Follow your work schedule and meal breaks accordingly to avoid Meal Penalties. • Have the willingness to learn culinary skills. • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of all hotel China, silverware, and cookware.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Interact with customers consistently, ensuring a positive experience.
- Lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (Up to 50lbs).
- Stand for extended periods and walk moderate distances.
- Adhere to flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess good communication skills for effective teamwork.

EDUCATION: • High school diploma or equal to a GED. LANGUAGE SKILLS: • Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management, and co-workers. CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: • Food Handler Certificate is required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to inclement weather conditions. GROOMING & UNIFORM: Employee must wear a uniform at all times during scheduled hours. Uniforms that have been tampered or destroyed will be the responsibility of the employee and disciplinary action will apply. • Hair must be clean and kept at a reasonable length. • All food servers and culinary personnel must wear their hair tied back. • Fingernails must be clean and well-trimmed at all times. • Antiperspirant or deodorant must be worn. • Any offensive self-inflicted marking tattoo on the body cannot be observed by the public. • Name tags must always be worn unless your department has a specific policy to the contrary.
Pay: $20 an hour.
