The Dishwasher at Neighborly is a vital member of the kitchen team, responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that allows the entire operation to run smoothly. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency. Dishwashers help protect food quality, team efficiency, and guest safety by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, understands that cleanliness is non-negotiable, and values being an essential part of a high performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using both dish machines and hand washing methods, ensuring all items are spotless and food safe.

• Organize and properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated locations so they are immediately accessible to the kitchen team.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish station, sinks, floors, and surrounding kitchen areas in accordance with Neighborly’s sanitation and safety standards.

• Empty trash and recycling receptacles regularly and transport waste to designated areas to keep the kitchen clean and functional.

• Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing walls, cleaning floor mats, and other sanitation projects to maintain a safe working environment.

• Support the kitchen team with basic food prep, restocking, or other tasks during slower periods or when additional help is needed.

• Uphold all company food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies at all times.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to take on additional tasks as needed.

• Basic understanding of sanitation standards preferred.
