You own the full recruiting cycle at Impact: from sourcing to offer to 90-day placement. You keep the pipeline full of the best candidates across every role in the business, at all times. You don’t wait for requisitions; you source proactively, screen ruthlessly, and close candidates who raise our standard.
You report directly to Georgia Corsetti (VP People Operations) with a dotted line to the President. You have full visibility into hiring priorities across the business.
This is an owner role, not a posting-and-waiting role.

What We Expect From You
Own Hiring Outcomes - Translate business priorities into clear hiring plans and role definitions - Lead searches from intake to close, driving both speed and quality - Manage 15 to 20 open roles simultaneously without compromising quality
Build High-Quality Pipelines - Proactively source and engage high-caliber, often passive candidates - Build pipelines for recurring and critical roles, reducing reactive hiring - Develop a strong understanding of where top performers come from
Partner and Calibrate - Partner with hiring managers to define success profiles and evaluation criteria - Assess candidates with strong judgment, identifying signal versus noise - Coach hiring managers on talent calibration and decision-making speed - Hold the line on culture fit
Drive Improvement - Identify gaps in hiring process and implement improvements - Track outcomes at 90 days and 12 months to improve sourcing and screening - Maintain a weekly recruiting dashboard and report to leadership - Bring solutions, not just observations
Support Broader Hiring - During lower-volume periods, support hiring across all functions - Ensure consistency in hiring standards and culture fit assessment
Requirements
Experience - 3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruiting in high-growth environments - Track record of owning hiring outcomes across multiple roles or business units - Successfully filled complex or ambiguous roles - Experience sourcing and closing high-quality, often passive candidates - Agency background strongly preferred - Comfortable with ATS/HRIS systems
Skills - Superior intellectual rigor to assess candidates beyond credentials - Strong phone and in-person presence; excellent rapport-building - Demonstrated ability to calibrate talent and influence hiring decisions - Pipeline discipline: manages candidate flow like a sales rep manages deals - Honest and direct; gives candidates a real picture of the role and our culture - Self-directed; doesn’t need to be chased for updates - Comfortable in fast-paced, lean environments where priorities shift

Based in our Toronto headquarters. Some roles require early morning or weekend coordination to reach field candidates.

What Success Looks Like
In 6 months: - Built a live pipeline with 15+ pre-qualified candidates - Filled 8 to 12 roles with a 90%+ 90-day placement rate - Familiar with every hiring manager and their criteria - Reporting weekly to leadership with pipeline status
In Year One: - Filled 40+ roles with a 95%+ 90-day placement rate - 80%+ 12-month retention rate - Managing 15 to 20 active roles without dropping quality - Part of the leadership team advising on hiring strategy
