Career Opportunity: Director of Operations – Community and Organizational Development

Location: Prince George, BC

Employment Type: Full time , 35 Hours per week

The Opportunity: The Director of Operations – Community & Organizational Development is responsible for supporting the work of the Executive Director of Child and Family Services and oversees the daily department operations which include financial, administrative, supervision, and monitoring related duties and tasks. The objectives of this role include:

  • Collaborate with managers and program leads in the development of performance goals and long-term operational goals.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through process review and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Work with project managers in development and monitoring of financial and budgetary plans.
  • Analyze operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvements where needed.
  • Support leadership with governance and policy.
  • Oversees the development, implementation and updating of Community Service Delivery Plans and corresponding financial agreements.
  • Contributes to effective financial planning and management by following the organization’s established financial policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring to The Role:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Indigenous Governance, Business Administration or a related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working with Indigenous families and communities
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a leadership role
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $68.0501 to $89.4972 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
