Role Summary
The Lot & Digital Manager is responsible for the organization, presentation, and performance of dealership inventory. This includes managing the physical lot, ensuring all vehicles are customer-ready, and overseeing the accuracy and quality of all online listings. This role works closely with Sales, Service, and Management to ensure vehicles move efficiently from arrival to sale.
Key Responsibilities
Lot Management & Vehicle Presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional dealership lot at all times
- Ensure all vehicles are properly parked, tagged, priced, and secured
- Coordinate vehicle movement between Sales, Service, and Detail departments
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for customer viewing and test drives
- Support vehicle deliveries and customer pick-ups as needed
- Monitor lot flow and identify aging inventory
Digital Inventory Management
- Ensure all vehicles are accurately listed across all platforms (Dealer website, OEM site, AutoTrader, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date pricing, descriptions, and vehicle details
- Coordinate and/or complete vehicle photography and video walkarounds
- Ensure all listings meet quality and branding standards
- Write or audit vehicle descriptions to ensure they are accurate and sales-focused
Inventory Performance & Reporting
- Track and report on inventory performance (age, engagement, and lead activity)
- Identify units that require pricing adjustments or increased exposure
- Work with management to support inventory strategy and turnover
Process & Workflow Management
- Ensure new inventory is online within 24–48 hours of arrival
- Maintain efficient processes from intake → reconditioning → merchandising → posting
- Identify and resolve delays or bottlenecks in vehicle readiness
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts, and Detail teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Communicate vehicle status updates clearly and consistently
- Support dealership events, promotions, and merchandising initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards
- Comfortable with technology, including CRM systems and online listing platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles is an asset
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
