Administrative & Non- Instructional Support Specialist
Position Summary
This dual-role position supports both the educational program and the school's daily operations by assisting with student supervision and serving as a welcoming presence at the campus front desk and in the administrative office of the Campus Head.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, proactive, and enjoys working with children, families, and colleagues in a collaborative school environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Instructional Aide Responsibilities
- Provides supervision of children during non-academic times including arrivals & dismissals, hallway movement, lunch time, and recess activities.
- Assist students with safety protocols maintaining personal space and following appropriate hallway expectations.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and serves as a positive role model for students and the community.
- Works cooperatively and effectively with others. Maintains self-control and uses common sense.
- Reports to work on time and ready to work.
- Exhibits good judgment and responds positively to supervision, suggestions and/or directives.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, families, and vendors
- Assistwith attendance,answering phones,student dismissals, and general office support
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Support scheduling, filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks
- Assistwith school events, communications, and specialprojectsasassigned by the Campus Head
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’sdegree preferred
- Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiencywith Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
- Professionalism, warmth, discretion, and reliability
Schedule
This is a full-time position which is half time non-instructional aide and half time administrative during the academic year, with a schedule of 8 am- 4 pm.
The schedule can change based on school needs.
The role is a 10-month position.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the school campus during the day
- Ability to lift and carry classroom or office materials up to [20] pounds
- Ability to supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, recess,and outdoor settings
