Overview
The Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) seeks an Administrative Aide II to perform a wide range of general office duties including those of a confidential nature.The Assistant will respond to inquiries from students, prospective students, SPS colleagues, industry partners and will display a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with University and School personnel, including those at the senior level, to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose communications and draft and coordinate social media posts and website updates. Work with databases using intermediate to advanced-level functions, including complex spreadsheets and reports. Use Microsoft and Google softwares to support office work. Maintain leaders' calendars and assist with meeting coordination.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree
Required Experience:
3 years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.
Preferred Experience:
2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree). 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $39.129. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
