This role sits within a high-impact Strategic Finance function focused on supporting retailer partnerships and shaping the economics of large-scale commercial deals. You will work at the intersection of finance, strategy, and cross-functional deal execution, helping translate complex partnership structures into clear financial outcomes. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, involving close interaction with Retail Partnerships, Deal Desk, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Data Science teams. You will play a key role in building financial models that inform pricing, incentives, and long-term portfolio performance. This is a hands-on position where analytical rigor meets strategic storytelling. Your insights will directly influence negotiations and executive decision-making. The work offers strong visibility across the organization and a meaningful impact on growth.
- Own end-to-end financial modeling for retailer partnerships, including pricing structures, incentive design, unit economics, ROI analysis, and scenario/sensitivity modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner closely with commercial and deal teams to translate business strategy into financial outcomes, providing data-driven insights and negotiation support.
- Build, maintain, and enhance driver-based forecasting models for a portfolio of retailer deals, tracking KPIs and performance against targets.
- Develop scalable financial tools, dashboards, templates, and playbooks to improve deal evaluation, approval workflows, and post-signing performance tracking.
- Prepare executive-level reporting materials, including presentations, models, and narratives that clearly communicate insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in data, accounting, legal, and revenue operations to ensure accuracy, alignment, and operational feasibility of financial assumptions and structures.
- 4+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting with exposure to commercial deals, partnerships, or growth strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including driver-based forecasting, cohort analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL for self-serve analysis and familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Proven ability to evaluate or structure commercial agreements, including pricing, incentives, and ROI analysis, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Preferred: experience in marketplace, retail, or CPG ecosystems; exposure to revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606); MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
- Competitive base salary ranging from CAN $126,000 to $133,000 CAD, depending on experience and location.
