Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A in Canada.

Accountabilities:
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes through data analysis, assumption modeling, and reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, operational efficiency, expenses, capital expenditures, profitability, churn, and cash flow.
  • Analyze financial trends and business performance to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Build, maintain, and improve complex financial models to support forecasting accuracy, scalability, and operational planning.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting and financial reporting teams to ensure alignment between historical reporting and forward-looking financial analysis.
  • Streamline and automate FP&A processes to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and responsiveness in a high-growth environment.
  • Support special projects, stakeholder reporting, financial due diligence initiatives, and preparation of presentation materials as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring timely resolution of financial analysis and reporting challenges.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA designation is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance or FP&A experience, preferably within fast-paced or high-growth environments.
  • Strong financial modeling expertise with experience handling large and complex datasets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong ability to present financial insights clearly to leadership teams.
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in evolving environments.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Experience contributing to process automation, operational efficiency, or data-driven decision-making initiatives is considered an advantage.
