POSITION SUMMARY

This role supports FellowshipLIFE’s Home Care division by managing new hire onboarding and supporting essential Talent Acquisition and HR functions. This role ensures that all new hires meet state, federal, and organizational requirements, receive a smooth onboarding experience, and are fully prepared for a successful start.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment Support

  • Attend job fairs and hiring events.
  • Manage walk‑in candidates
  • Update candidate status in the ATS system.
  • Help ensure a positive hiring experience through timely communication and professional support.

Background Checks, Credentialing & Compliance

  • Process and review background checks including, criminal history, abuse/neglect registries, DMV records, and Drug test results.
  • Verify licenses, certifications, and requisite credentials.
  • Confirm eligibility to work in the U.S. and complete I‑9 forms.
  • Verify past employment and identity.
  • Determine whether candidates meet all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with HR leadership to address background check failures and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Prepare documentation for rescinding offers when candidates do not meet requirements.
  • Track credential expiration dates and assist with renewal reminders.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant records to support audit readiness.

New Hire Onboarding

  • Liaison onboarding status (background check, reference check, drug test, start date readiness) with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, including I‑9, W‑4, W‑2 setup, policy acknowledgments, and digital onboarding tasks.
  • Support benefits enrollment setup and ensure new hires receive required information.
  • Track onboarding completion and follow up with candidates and managers.
  • Assist hiring managers in preparing for new hires and ensuring a successful first day.
  • Coordinate systems access, equipment provisioning, and technology setup for new hires.
  • Support new team member orientation and ensure caregivers receive required training materials.

HR Operations

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Assist with employee inquiries and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR interactions.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist with offboarding documentation and exit interview coordination.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in onboarding and HR support.
  • HR experience in healthcare, home care, senior living preferred
  • Experience processing background checks and reviewing drug test results.
  • Experience verifying licenses, certifications, employment history, identity, and eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Experience coordinating new hire onboarding, and completing new hire paperwork (I‑9, W‑4, policy acknowledgments).
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to provide a positive candidate experience.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition Team Members, HR, and Hiring Managers.
