Job Description

Senior Director, Brand Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Brand Marketing based in United States.

This is a high-impact brand leadership role at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company entering an important new phase of market expansion.
You will own the brand strategy and creative expression across visual identity, content, social, multimedia, communications, and partnerships.
Reporting to the CMO, you will lead an in-house team and agency partners while helping shape the company’s next chapter.
The role is highly strategic but deeply hands-on, with significant influence over how the brand is recognized and understood by the market.
You will connect brand storytelling to measurable outcomes including awareness, share of voice, engagement, and content-influenced pipeline.
You will also transform major sponsorships and partnerships into ongoing storytelling and customer engagement opportunities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a builder who combines strong creative judgment, commercial discipline, leadership, and a passion for evolving B2B brands.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the overall brand system and creative direction, including visual identity, design standards, messaging, and creative expression across digital channels, campaigns, events, product surfaces, and sponsorships.
  • Define and execute a compelling brand narrative that strengthens market recognition, differentiation, credibility, and trust among customers, prospects, candidates, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead editorial and thought-leadership strategy, developing content programs spanning long-form content, industry insights, owned research, and always-on storytelling.
  • Build a scalable content engine that supports demand generation, sales enablement, organic discovery, and emerging AI-driven search and answer experiences.
  • Own organic social and multimedia strategy, using video and social channels to maintain brand relevance and engagement between sales cycles.
  • Develop and oversee earned media and communications programs in partnership with external PR agencies, including executive visibility, awards, media opportunities, and consistent external messaging.
  • Turn strategic sponsorships, partnerships, and industry events into integrated, year-round brand and content programs rather than standalone activations.
  • Lead, hire, develop, and mentor the brand and content organization, establishing clear standards, priorities, workflows, and creative operating processes.
  • Manage agency relationships and external creative partners, ensuring high-quality output, effective collaboration, and strong value from external resources.
  • Partner closely with product marketing, demand generation, events, customer marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure brand initiatives are integrated with broader business objectives.
  • Establish and track meaningful brand performance metrics, including awareness, share of voice, engagement, content performance, and content-influenced pipeline.
  • Present brand strategy, performance, priorities, and recommendations to senior executives, demonstrating clear ownership of outcomes and business impact.
  • Strengthen the team’s capabilities and operating model so that the organization consistently produces high-quality, differentiated work at scale.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing or brand leadership, including at least 4 years managing and developing teams.
  • Proven experience leading a B2B brand, ideally within SaaS or technology, through a significant narrative, positioning, or visual identity evolution and successfully bringing that transformation to market.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic brand thinking with hands-on execution and strong creative judgment across both editorial and visual disciplines.
  • Strong commercial orientation, with the ability to define, monitor, and communicate measurable brand outcomes such as awareness, share of voice, engagement, and pipeline influence.
  • Experience partnering effectively with product marketing, demand generation, events, customer marketing, sales, and executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to build and manage high-performing internal teams, establish creative standards, and develop talent.
  • Strong experience managing agencies and external creative partners, with the judgment to maximize quality, efficiency, and strategic value.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the executive presence to influence senior leadership.
  • Experience creating compelling brand and content strategies for practical, industry-specific audiences, with an ability to communicate authentically to non-marketing stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating with significant autonomy, ambiguity, and ownership in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strong understanding of how content, search, social, and brand discovery are evolving through AI-powered search and answer engines.
  • Experience with sponsorships, partnerships, experiential marketing, sports, motorsport, or large-scale events is a plus.
  • Experience building or leading an in-house creative studio is a plus.
  • Challenger-brand, category-creation, or experience competing against larger established brands is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Multiple medical and dental coverage options, with 100% employee coverage and 50% family coverage.
  • Vision insurance.
  • Incentive stock options.
  • 401(k) with a 4% company match.
  • Four weeks of paid time off, increasing after the second year.
  • 12 company holidays plus 2 floating holidays.
  • Paid parental leave, including 16 weeks for birthing parents and 4 weeks for non-birthing parents.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options.
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage, with short-term disability fully company paid.
  • Community service funds.
  • Professional development funds.
  • Quarterly wellbeing fund of $150.
  • Quarterly business expense stipend of $125.
  • Mac laptop and new-hire equipment stipend.
  • Fully stocked kitchen with drinks and snacks for employees based in the Birmingham office.
  • Remote-friendly working environment.
  • Inclusive culture focused on collaboration, professional growth, and meaningful impact.
