This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Sales Manager - Northeast OR Southeast US based in United States.
This role is an opportunity to drive sales growth and expand market presence across a multi-state territory.
You will own the regional sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development through product demonstrations, closing, and after-sales support.
The position combines strategic account management with hands-on field selling and distributor collaboration.
You will build strong relationships with customers while identifying new opportunities and gathering market intelligence.
Success in this role requires a proactive, independent approach and a strong commitment to exceeding sales targets.
With significant domestic travel, you will engage directly with customers, distributors, industry partners, and prospects throughout your territory.
Your work will directly contribute to revenue growth, market share expansion, and long-term customer relationships.
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies designed to exceed annual sales targets and increase market share across assigned product lines.
- Own the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, prospect follow-up, customer engagement, product demonstrations, sales negotiations, order closing, and after-sales support.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers, using a customer-focused approach to identify needs and create long-term partnerships.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM system and use customer insights to strengthen account development and sales planning.
- Develop and implement plans that support sustained revenue growth across a territory spanning six or more states.
- Partner closely with authorized distributors by providing product knowledge, sales support, training, and guidance to strengthen market representation and regional growth.
- Gather customer feedback regarding existing service offerings, potential enhancements, and new products, and communicate relevant insights to internal teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, product developments, and emerging opportunities to identify areas for growth.
- Prepare and submit required expense reports, activity reports, distributor information, and other sales documentation accurately and on time.
- Represent the organization at trade shows and industry events as needed, including planning, preparation, customer engagement, and follow-up.
- Take on additional responsibilities and special assignments as required to support regional sales objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 3–5 years of professional sales experience with a demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably within equipment, industrial, manufacturing, or related markets.
- Proven ability to develop trusted customer relationships, understand client needs, and successfully close appropriate sales opportunities.
- Strong business development, account management, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, distributors, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize activities and manage a large geographic territory efficiently.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while maintaining accountability for regional performance.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback and translate insights into actionable sales opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, with domestic travel potentially exceeding 75% depending on territory and distributor requirements.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and eligibility to maintain required vehicle insurance.
