Product Designer Remote

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Designer Remote in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape intuitive, high-impact digital experiences for field service professionals who rely on mission-critical software to run their businesses. You will design across both mobile and web platforms, helping simplify complex workflows for thousands of contractors operating in industries such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and home services. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define product direction and improve user experience. The position emphasizes iterative design, user-centered thinking, and strong ownership of product outcomes. You will contribute to evolving a scalable design system while ensuring consistency and usability across platforms. This is a highly impactful role where your work directly improves operational efficiency for small and mid-sized service businesses.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for designing seamless, user-centered digital experiences and contributing to the evolution of product strategy, design systems, and end-to-end user flows across web and mobile platforms.

  • Design intuitive and accessible user experiences for responsive web and native mobile applications
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define product vision, roadmap priorities, and design solutions
  • Apply user-centered design principles to discovery, prototyping, testing, and iterative refinement of features
  • Contribute to and evolve a consistent, scalable design system across products and platforms
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data-informed design validation to guide decisions
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions, providing feedback and advocating for user needs
  • Support experimentation efforts such as A/B testing and performance-driven UI improvements
Requirements

This role requires strong product design expertise, a user-first mindset, and the ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-moving product teams.

  • 3–5 years of experience in UX/UI or product design roles
  • Experience designing for web and mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, and user experience solutions
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Jira, and UX research/testing tools (e.g., Maze)
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, and design systems
  • Ability to translate user research, data, and feedback into actionable design improvements
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with product managers and engineers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to solve complex design problems
  • Comfort working in ambiguous environments and iterating quickly based on feedback
