Position: Maintenance Technician

-Shift 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
-Pay: $25.00- $30.00

-Must be comfortable in a Fridge/Freezer Environment


In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate may also possess the following skills: Facility Maintenance, Production, Manufacturing, Material Handler, Equipment Operator, Stand Up Forklift, Troubleshooting and Repairs, Scissor Lift, Power Tools, Plasma Cutter, Cutting Torch, Grinder, Bandsaws.


This position requires a minimum of 3 years Maintenance Technician Experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Troubleshooting. Welding and other Maintenance experienceis preferred as you may be assigned alternate tasks. Basic Hand Tools and Multimeter required to bring with you on-site each day. Forklift and Scissor Lift Experience is a plus as you may be asked to use MHE or perform your job duties at elevated heights.

Role Purpose:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for most major equipment repairs, upgrades, installations and changes related to the warehouse and packaging operations, including MHE repairs and PM's. This role will perform the quarterly, bi-annual and annual PMs as per schedule. This role will have assigned machines to which they will require intimate knowledge of the mechanical and electrical aspects of the machine.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain Kauffman, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs along with associated Ladder Logic, Service and repair Vacuum pumps, Battery Changing equipment and Charging stations.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain MHE through manufacturers recommended PM schedules
  • Adjust and maintain fire suppression systems
  • Support innovation and new technologies, i.e. robotics, AGV and other material handling innovations.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain ABB and Fanuc Pick and Place robotics along with calibration and testing of arm and end of arm equipment
  • Identify issues with high speed equipment including technical specs, ladder diagrams, Allen Bradley PLC, wiring prints, pneumatic logic, hydraulic logic, as well as a variety of troubleshooting and measuring equipment. Install networking lines and equipment, i.e. cameras.
  • Have experience with, and understand the operation of, forming plastics and merging substrates with heat and pressure, and identify machine issues when operating outside of acceptable specs.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, and timers. Add electrical outlets within code.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses, and coils
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps
  • Use welding equipment, basic machine shop and fabrication tools
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as but not limited to stretch wrappers, compactors and other power industrial equipment

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Trade School Certifications
  • MHE Certifications
  • Experience in the operation of high speed packaging equipment, including the operation of human interface robots and recipe storage, desirable
  • 1+ years of experience MHE repair and maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience in a production environment.
  • 1+ years of experience as Industrial Mechanic or like role.
