Job Type: Temporary.
Pay Range: $35 to $45 hourly.
The role of the Parts Lead Technician is to own global availability and distribution of engineering spare parts across build sites, test locations, and proving grounds. Manage a portfolio of 4,000+ part numbers, including revisions, maturity, availability, traceability, allocation, inventory accuracy, stock levels, urgent shipments, build and test readiness, ERP/PLM data, shortage and risk reporting, and cross-functional issue resolution. Serve as the central interface for Engineering, V&V, Prototype Builds, Fleet Operations, Procurement, suppliers, warehouses, and logistics partners, while establishing scalable processes for prototype and pre-series operations.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in engineering parts handling, prototype logistics, or material management
- Proven experience managing multi-thousand-part portfolios
- Experience coordinating global parts distribution and logistics activities
- Strong knowledge of automotive prototype, validation, and pre-series processes
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems, such as SAP, Teamcenter, or Windchill
- Experience with electric vehicle (EV) or advanced vehicle programs preferred
- Prototype build or verification and validation (V&V) experience preferred
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- High attention to detail and precision in execution
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex challenges
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
- Hands-on approach to logistics, parts management, and operational support
- Ability to work in fast-paced engineering and development environments
