Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Athletic Coordinator Responsibilities & Duties

    • Develop and organize athletic programs and events
    • Coordinate scheduling of practices, games, and events
    • Manage budgets and allocate resources for various sports programs
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national athletic regulations
    • Act as a point of contact for coaches, athletes, and parents
    • Procure and maintain sports equipment and facilities
    • Recruit, train, and evaluate coaches and other athletic staff
    • Promote sports programs through various channels, including social media and community outreach
    • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed
    • Oversee the safety and well-being of all athletic participants
    • Prepare and manage athletic program records and reports
    • Coordinate transportation for athletic teams and events
  • Athletic Coordinator Qualifications & Skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field
    • Previous experience in sports administration or coaching
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Knowledge of sports regulations and compliance standards
    • Proficiency in using athletic management software and tools
    • Experience in budget management and resource allocation
    • Ability to effectively manage and lead a team
    • Familiarity with emergency and safety procedures in sports settings
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    • At least 2 years of experience in sports coordination or related areas
    • Exceptional organizational skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

    • Understanding of athletic rules and regulations
    • First Aid and CPR certification
