Job Description

Join the Park Opportunity Garden

At Park, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We don’t just offer jobs; we provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.

The "Opportunity Garden" Framework

We’ve designed our employee experience around three core pillars to ensure you don’t just work—you flourish:

  • NURTURE: We Get It – We provide a supportive environment built on Integrity & Trust. Your wellbeing is our priority; we focus on Working Safe & Working Smart to create a frictionless environment with the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.

  • GROW: Building Capacity – We don’t leave your career to chance. Through our Employee Success initiative, we provide intentional growth plans, training, and resources to expand your skillset. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder.

  • THRIVE: You Want It – This is where your "Can-Do" Attitude meets Empowerment. We trust you to be a problem-solver with the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on. We take pride in the tangible "before and after" of our labor.

The Role: Lead Hand, Landscape Construction

While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary architect of site productivity and team coordination, working alongside your crew to execute complex residential and commercial projects.

Your Daily Impact:

  • Field Coordination: Assist the Foreman in task planning and sequencing, providing hands-on coaching and technical guidance to crew members to keep the project moving efficiently.

  • Precision Installation: Execute high-level construction tasks across all scopes, including rough and final grading, hardscape cutting and placement, and technical water feature integration.

  • Site Stewardship: Support the drainage and base preparation phases, ensuring the site is ready for layout and staking according to project drawings.

  • Equipment Mastery: Safely operate and oversee the use of power tools and light equipment, ensuring daily inspections are completed and tools are secured at the end of the day.

  • Safety Advocacy: Model a proactive safety culture by participating in hazard assessments (FLHAs) and ensuring all crew members are utilizing proper PPE and following OHS protocols.

  • Winter Versatility: Transition to our snow and ice management operations from November through April, maintaining a flexible schedule to ensure our clients' properties remain safe during major weather events.

The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)

To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of grading, drainage, and multi-scope installation (hardscape/softscape); strong understanding of OHS requirements and safe construction practices.

  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret site drawings; proficiency with digital field tools (e.g., Aspire, SiteDocs); expertise in operating small equipment like plate compactors and cut-off saws.

  • Abilities: Minimum 2 years of landscape construction experience; physical stamina for demanding manual labor in all weather; valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (preferred).

Ready to Branch Out? Your Future Starts Here

At Park, we don’t just hire—we plant the seeds for long-term success. If you’re looking for a workplace where your "Can-Do" attitude is rewarded with real opportunity, you’ve found it.

When you join our garden, you’re gaining:

  • Visible Career Paths: Clear milestones for advancement and raises.

  • Innovative Tools: Latest technology to make your job smoother, smarter, and safer.

  • Impactful Work: Pride in the physical transformation of our community.

  • A Culture of Respect: A high-trust environment where your voice is heard.
