While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary architect of high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial irrigation systems. You will serve as the on-site second-in-command, providing mentorship and coordination to achieve operational excellence.
Your Daily Impact:
Crew Leadership: Support the Foreman by providing day-to-day direction, motivation, and hands-on training to irrigation crew members.
System Mastery: Install mainlines, valves, and controllers; perform startups, winterizations, and complex troubleshooting to optimize water efficiency.
Operational Support: Assist with landscape construction, including sod and tree installation, and support snow removal operations during winter months.
Safety & Compliance: Operate specialized equipment like trenchers and vibratory plows while ensuring all work meets municipal codes and company safety policies.
Seasonal Transition: Adapt to a flexible schedule from November through April to support comprehensive snow and ice management for our clients.
To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:
Knowledge:Thorough understanding of landscape construction methods, provincial irrigation regulations, and occupational health and safety practices.
Skills: Expertise in operating skid steers and irrigation-specific power tools; proficiency in job management software like Aspire or Site Docs.
Abilities: Strong leadership and relationship management skills; physical stamina to perform manual labor in outdoor settings and lift up to 50 lbs.
