Supervisor / Account Manager – Edmonton Branch

Location: Edmonton / Nisku, Alberta
Onboarding
: 3-4 weeks in Montreal

Position Status: Permanent

Role Overview

The Supervisor / Account Manager is the on-site leader for the Edmonton branch and acts as the primary supervisor and client-facing account lead for all assigned sites. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations, crew supervision, quality control, safety, client communication, and account performance across both snow season and landscape season.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Field Supervision

  • Lead and supervise Crew Leaders and Crew Members
  • Assign daily routes, tasks, and priorities
  • Provide hands-on coaching, performance management, and discipline (with HR)
  • Conduct site visits, tailgate meetings, and safety checks
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training

Hands-On Operations

  • Assist crews as needed during peak periods or staff shortages
  • Operate landscape and snow equipment when required
  • Perform field work (mowing, trimming, cleanups, snow operations, etc.)
  • Lead by example in productivity, quality, and safety

Operations & Financial Oversight

  • Plan and supervise daily operations for both seasons
  • Manage schedules, time tracking, job costing, and work orders in Aspire
  • Review and approve labor hours, materials, and equipment usage
  • Manage purchase orders and support budget and cost control
  • Coordinate with HQ (Montreal) on priorities and resources

Client & Account Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for all assigned clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Attend site meetings, inspections, and walkthroughs
  • Proactively communicate service updates and resolve issues
  • Identify and support landscape enhancement opportunities

Seasonal Responsibilities

Winter – Snow Operations

  • Plan crews, equipment, materials, and site readiness
  • Monitor weather and manage snow events and mobilization
  • Ensure quality, safety, proper snow placement, and de-icing
  • Handle operational issues and equipment breakdowns
  • Ensure accurate service, hours, and material tracking

Summer – Landscape Operations

  • Plan spring start-up, staffing, and equipment allocation
  • Oversee maintenance (mowing, trimming, pruning, cleanups)
  • Ensure schedules, productivity, and quality standards are met
  • Plan and execute approved enhancement projects
  • Oversee yard, equipment, and vehicle readiness

Safety, Systems & Compliance

  • Lead and document monthly Health & Safety meetings
  • Enforce safe work practices and investigate incidents
  • Use Aspire (scheduling, costing, POs, labor approvals)
  • Use Fleetio and Geotab for fleet, equipment, and GPS tracking

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in landscape and/or snow operations management
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Comfortable in both field and client-facing roles
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-comfortable with operations systems
  • Valid driver’s license; flexible hours during peak seasons
