Job Description
Great opportunity for an HVAC Coordinator to join the HVAC Team at RUSSO Brothers in East Hanover! The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing the process of obtaining permits. They work with building departments and other professionals to ensure that all projects adhere to local building codes and regulations.

What you will do:
- Research and prepare permit applications for submission to the appropriate regulatory agency.
- Track and monitor the status of permit applications through the approval process
- Prepare reports on permit activity; Track permit activity
- Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure compliance with permit requirements.
- Keep abreast of changes in permit regulations and advise management of potential impacts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to permitting.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization, customers, and regulatory agencies during the inspection process.
- Responsible for resolving issues that arise during the permit process.
- Maintain accurate records of permit.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers and clients.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts; ability to apply concepts of basic accounting.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
- Must have good organizational skills as the role often has many tasks to complete in a short period of time.
- Time Management – a necessary skill as they often have many tasks to complete in a day. Also, must have the ability to multi-task throughout the day
- The ability to identify a problem, analyze it and find a solution
- High School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years of related experience and/or training. Industry experience and sales experience are preferred. If you’ve worked in our industry, we want to talk to you!!!
- Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Word/ Outlook and Excel.
- Strong math skills- a huge plus if you have basic accounting skills.
Pay Range: DOE
$24.00-$28.00/hr
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; can change as business needs change
