Job Description:
The Mental Health Monitor/Sitter provides continuous observation of patients who are on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise identified as being at risk of self-harm or harm to others. The position involves visual and video monitoring, documenting observations accurately and promptly, reporting behavioral changes to licensed nursing staff, and following all instructions from the medical personnel responsible for the unit. The role is critical in maintaining patient safety and supporting mental health care services.
Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience monitoring multiple screens, observing patients, and reporting findings.
- Minimum of six (6) months of clerical, support service, or healthcare-related experience in a medical setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Updated Resume
- Current BLS/CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) through in-person training
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test Documentation
- Hepatitis B Vaccination Documentation
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Vaccination Documentation
- Varicella (Chickenpox) Immunity/Vaccination Documentation
