Summary
As a member of the cyber security team at LHMSH, this role helps protect company assets, support cyber security operations, and strengthen readiness across the organization. The Cyber Security Analyst collaborates with internal teams and partner security professionals to implement controls, manage security processes, and create documentation that improves cyber security standards and operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement controls to protect critical assets.
- Manage ongoing security-related processes such as vulnerability scanning and management, event correlation, and incident response.
- Create reports and dashboards that communicate cyber security readiness.
- Perform research and create documentation for cyber security best practices, processes, procedures, and technology configurations.
- Interface with operations and helpdesk teams to coordinate cyber security-related efforts.
- Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies through cyber security practices and standards.
- Coach, teach, and mentor.
- Support LHMSH culture by promoting “Friendly, Positive, and Focused on Excellence”.
- Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of Larry H. Miller Senior Health.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent mid-to-advanced cybersecurity certifications and prior experience combined.
- Experience with cybersecurity standards and privacy frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, CCPA, and GDPR is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of cybersecurity experience is preferred, including control implementation, incident response, vulnerability management, and documentation development; audit, penetration testing, red team/blue team, and scripting or automation experience are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, kneel, crouch, stretch, twist, and move about.
- Required vision includes close, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to carefully consider all information and make impactful decisions on a regular basis.
- Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth in the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager.
- Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
