- Lead and review compilation and review engagements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery across all client files.
- Prepare and oversee complex corporate, personal, and trust tax returns while supporting advanced tax planning and corporate reorganization initiatives.
- Manage sophisticated corporate group structures and provide strategic financial guidance and advisory support to clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships through responsive and high-value service.
- Collaborate with leadership on operational planning, workflow optimization, budgeting, and long-term business strategy.
- Monitor engagement timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall client experience.
- Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented culture.
- CPA designation required, or equivalent level of advanced accounting and tax expertise.
- 7+ years of progressive public practice accounting experience, including exposure to complex engagements and advisory services.
- Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and Canadian tax regulations covering corporate, personal, and trust taxation.
- Proven experience managing review engagements, financial reporting, and tax planning initiatives.
- Proficiency with CaseWare/CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong ownership, accountability, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with a strategic and business-focused mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain strong client relationships.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Previous remote or hybrid work experience is considered an asset.
