Your Impact & How You'll Use Your Skills
This role is for a supply chain and logistics professional who embodies our core values through technical expertise and operational ownership.
- Parts Distribution & Field Enablement: Manage parts distribution across hubs, spokes, and technician vehicles—set par levels, manage same-day dispatches, source non-stocked parts, and remove supply barriers to keep field technicians productive.
- Purchasing & Vendor Stewardship: Own the end-to-end purchasing workflow, including purchase orders within delegated authority, vendor communications, returns, invoice matching, GL coding support, and identifying documented cost-saving opportunities.
- Inventory Control & Warehouse Governance: Maintain rigorous inventory and warehouse controls covering receiving, put-away, cycle counts, consignment/loaner tracking, obsolete inventory disposition, and safe warehouse practices.
- Systems Integrity & Scalable Architecture: Maintain high data integrity across CMMS and ERP systems. Develop repeatable stocking standards, site-profile kits, vendor architecture, and multi-hub distribution strategies to scale as Hema-Tec expands.
Schedule, Locations & Team
- Shift & Schedule: Full-time, day shift position working independently within established priorities and procurement controls.
- Locations & Travel: Based at the Clawson home office in Clawson, MI, supporting a tri-state network. Requires occasional travel as needed.
- Team & Support: Reports directly to the Biomed Manager, partnering closely with field technicians, Finance, vendors, and operational leaders.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years of supply chain, service-parts, purchasing, or inventory management experience in a technical or field-service environment (medical device, industrial equipment, fleet, manufacturing maintenance, or clinical engineering preferred).
- Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or a related field preferred (equivalent relevant experience considered).
- Systems Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency using CMMS, ERP, or inventory systems (e.g., Fiix, Limble, NetSuite, SAP) and using demand data to establish par levels, min/max points, and reorder triggers.
- Technical & Physical Aptitude: Ability to read parts diagrams, safely receive, organize, and move inventory, hold a valid driver’s license, and travel occasionally.
- Core Competencies: Self-starter with strong organization, documentation, and follow-through in a regulated environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly with remote leadership and field staff.
