Job Description
Position Summary:
The Supplier Development Specialist is tasked to lead PPAP, APQP activities with suppliers and be the face for all supplier quality related activities internally and externally. Act as a bridge between Quality and Purchasing teams to establish and guide suppliers to Amaneos standards and customer expectations. Ability to multitask and track milestones for successful launch of new programs and engineering changes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform On-Site Audits and supplier locations and assist the purchasing team for qualifications of new supplier.
Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities at supplier level for new program launches and assist team to achieve milestones.
Assist suppliers to achieve successful PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for existing and new parts supplied using AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) and VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie) rules and Amaneos standards.
Review PPAP documentation from suppliers including elevation of core tools like Control plans, FMEAs, Process Flows and additional technical controls on key characteristics.
Manage a multi-sheet tracking method on Approved supplier list and PPAP status of all the existing new suppliers.
Gather information from suppliers’ performance and maintain KPI (Key Performance Indicators) with help of the purchasing team in terms of Quality, Delivery, and Cost categories.
Based on the KPI performance, request corrective actions from low performing suppliers and monitor the closures as per timelines.
Issue DMR’s (Discrepant Material Report) based on issues observed at Assembly level, receiving inspections and warranty issues.
Manage receiving inspector’s job duties and assist as required and develop inspections plans based on part requirements for receiving inspections in QSYS (CAQ) System.
Manage Master Samples and boundary samples activities with suppliers.
Obtain information regarding Cos of Poor Quality on monthly basis and pass the information to suppliers for recovery.
Work with suppliers and warranty engineers to develop Standard and Load test procedures for warranty analysis on supplied components.
Review and approve deviations from suppliers and internal team.
Manage and assist suppliers to successfully implement a change using Amaneos change management process.
Work with suppliers to prompt closures on 8D reports and assist suppliers I closing issues using 5 Why’s and robust corrective actions preventing re-occurrence of issues.
Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures, to ensure the preservation of the Company Quality Policy and compliance to currently recognized industry standard QMS and EMS.
Ability to travel at least 25% to supplier and customer locations as needed.
Complies with Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements and supports environmental objectives, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with Amaneos policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to Quality.

Preferred Education and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical or related field preferred
3 years or more of related automotive experience is needed in Quality/Supplier Quality field with knowledge on commodities like Plastics, Stampings, Paint, Fasteners, and Interior components.
Highly Competent in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc..) and teams.
Must be self-oriented, pro-active, team-player and multitask based on requirements.
Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills are needed with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
