As Commercial Strategy Lead, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, driving commercial excellence, revenue growth, and business development effectiveness across global healthcare-focused consulting practices. You will develop scalable strategies, improve commercial operations, and lead initiatives that strengthen client engagement and market performance.
- Develop and execute commercial growth strategies to expand market presence, improve competitive positioning, and support sustainable revenue growth.
- Partner with leadership teams to refine service offerings, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies across multiple consulting areas.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving commercial operations, sales effectiveness, and business development processes.
- Design and implement scalable sales enablement programs, including tools, frameworks, KPIs, reporting structures, and best practices.
- Oversee account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity prioritization to maximize growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with business development teams and consulting leaders to strengthen client relationships, improve proposals, and increase success rates.
- Leverage market intelligence, analytics, and commercial performance data to identify opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
- Partner with marketing teams to align commercial priorities with demand generation, thought leadership, and client engagement initiatives.
- Establish consistent commercial processes and operating models across service lines and global teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing commercial and business development teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor commercial performance metrics and provide insights to senior leadership to support business growth decisions.
The ideal candidate is a strategic commercial leader with extensive experience driving growth, business development, and revenue optimization within healthcare, life sciences consulting, or professional services environments. You should have strong business judgment, executive presence, and the ability to influence complex global organizations.
- 15+ years of experience in commercial strategy, business development, sales leadership, revenue operations, or related commercial functions.
- Proven success developing and executing commercial growth strategies within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Experience leading sales enablement, commercial operations, account management, or revenue optimization initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of business development processes, pipeline management, CRM platforms, forecasting, and commercial performance metrics.
- Ability to analyze market trends and performance data to develop actionable strategies.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership, global teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing commercial or business development teams.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and executive influencing skills.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute operational improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience within life sciences consulting, healthcare, market access, HEOR, patient outcomes, real-world evidence, or related industries is highly valued.
