Job Description
Purpose of Job:
The Quotations Specialist enhances customer and co-worker experiences by efficiently preparing, documenting, and following up on quotes while ensuring alignment with pricing structures. By acting as an internal quotation consultant, the Quotation Specialist supports both internal departments and customers while proactively sourcing products and opportunities to drive business growth.

Ensure all duties and responsibilities are completed as per Next’s Standard Operating Procedures:
Quotation Management and Support- Prepare detailed quotes and ensure all relevant documentation is included
- Issue all quote requests at least 24 hours before job closing
- Create, revise, and resubmit shop drawings for approval
- Act as a quotation consultant to internal departments and designated customers
- Follow up on quotation status and maintain departmental documentation
- Ensure quotes align with established price structures
- Finalize quotes in conjunction with the Quotations Specialist Supervisor
- Assist in securing quoted contracts
- Review specifications and source products and pricing through vendors and online
- Leverage associations and services to uncover new opportunities
These duties reflect the general details of the role but are not exhaustive. There will be tasks that are necessary to the job which may also be required.
Recommended Qualifications:Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:- Ability to consistently model Next’s core values and character expectations listed above
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and adaptability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Products (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Keen attention to detail, to ensure accuracy in all tasks
- Basic plumbing and hydronics knowledge
- 1+ year of previous experience
- Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred
- Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively
- This position requires prolonged periods of working at a computer and using a keyboard and mouse
