Medical Receptionist
Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM-3:00 PM | $28/hour | Full-Time

What You'll Do
As a Medical Receptionist, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients while providing administrative support that helps ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience.
- Welcome patients and complete check-in, check-out, and registration processes.
- Collect co-pays, deposits, and required patient information.
- Prepare patient paperwork, insurance forms, and privacy documentation.
- Create, maintain, and organize patient charts and medical records.
- Utilize EMR systems to support daily clinical and administrative workflows.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally.
- Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Offer earlier appointment opportunities when cancellations occur.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and document exceptions as needed.
- Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and test results while maintaining confidentiality.
- Prepare examination rooms and provide compassionate support to patients and families.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility policies.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Hands-on experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
- Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented approach.
