Accountabilities:The Commercial Account Executive will be responsible for expanding market presence, generating new business opportunities, and managing the complete sales lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute a territory business plan focused on acquiring new customers and achieving revenue targets across Canada.
- Prospect for new opportunities through outbound activities, inbound lead follow-up, networking, and strategic account development.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with revenue goals and forecasting expectations.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Develop trusted relationships with prospects and customers by understanding business challenges and demonstrating measurable value.
- Deliver compelling product presentations through meetings, webinars, and phone conversations to communicate business impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, sales development, product, implementation, and leadership to maximize growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline updates, and forecasting information using CRM tools.
- Share market insights, customer feedback, and best practices to support broader business strategy.
- Contribute to a positive sales culture through teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B SaaS sales professional with a strong track record of exceeding targets and managing complex customer engagements. Required qualifications and skills include:
- 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven success managing full-cycle sales processes from prospecting through contract completion.
- Experience selling complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling, discovery techniques, and value-based selling approaches.
- Ability to identify customer pain points and communicate clear business outcomes and ROI.
- Experience selling into industries such as oil and gas, mining, utilities, manufacturing, construction, or other high-risk sectors is an advantage.
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning skills.
- Experience using modern sales technologies such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated resilience, discipline, competitiveness, and motivation to exceed sales goals.
