About This Position

Position Description: Job Summary
The Director of Camp and Support Group Services at CBCST will manage peer support groups, initial intake, and
bereavement camp programs, handling program design, training, and budgeting. They'll ensure adherence to trauma informed and efficiency practices and supervise intake manager, support services and camp contractors for policy compliance. Advanced critical thinking skills and consistent leadership are vital. Additionally, they'll provide direct client services, including Bio psychosocial Intakes, counseling, and overseeing student or LPC Associate counselors.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

A. Direct Services
  1. Participates with Chief Program Officer (CPO) in recruitment and hiring, selection, of intake manager and coordinators, grief support program contractors.
  2. Creates and oversees peer support group and camp-based trainings for volunteers, community members, and host partners.
  3. Coordinator, all on site and off site day and overnight grief camps for children, adolescents, and adult caregivers.
  4. Establish and implement trauma-informed therapeutic grief curricula for peer support group and camp attendees.
  5. Administer pre-assessment sessions with potential campers to determine appropriateness for services.
  6. Administer post-camp assessments/evaluations for camp attendees, caregivers, and volunteers.
  7. Conducts phone intakes and in person assessments with families for center-based clients.
  8. Performs initial assessments for clients and families and assigns individuals to the appropriate service or referral.
  9. Provides individual and family counseling maintaining appropriate and timely documentation of client files

B. Administration
  1. Create and maintain budget for Grief Support Services.
  2. Maintains curriculum and master calendar for support groups, ensures attendance reporting and evaluation.
  3. Coordinates with Community Engagement Manager on potluck meals and greeters.
  4. Ensures scheduled performance evaluations with contract support and program administrative support staff.
  5. Ensures timely reporting of camp attendance and evaluation.
  6. Coordinates weekly Program Team Meetings with Director of Clinical Services.
  7. Design and implement program schedules and activities for camp attendees and volunteers.
  8. Manage camp documentation to include family intakes, custody documentation, camper and volunteer rosters, health history and medical logs, and incident reports.
  9. Maintain ongoing communication with external camp donors, hosts and additional partners.

C. Collaboration
  1. Work closely with CPO to uphold the core values and principles of CBCSTs culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
  2. Work closely with CPO to budget and monitor programmatic operations to ensure sound fiscal and system management.
  3. Work closely with Director of Clinical Services and Grief Support Services Managers to ensure appropriate client services are being met.
  4. Maintains open communication and collaboration with all CBCST staff members and departments.
  5. Participates in awareness/education presentations and events as needed.
  6. Maintains open communication and collaboration with all staff members, students, and volunteers.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Masters degree in a relevant field (social work/counseling), clinical licensure of LPC-S or LCSW-S preferred
  2. Minimum of five years of leadership experience with a proven record of success
  3. Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team exhibiting high levels of distress management critical for problem solving and crisis situations
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent CBCST
  5. Experience in grief, loss and trauma for children and adults
  6. Experience in working with diverse and multicultural populations
  7. Strong organizational skills, time management skills and adept at multi-tasking
  8. Proficient use of computers, internet, social media, Microsoft Office suite of programs, and multi-line phone system

Physical Requirements
This position involves typical periods of sitting, walking, and clinical typing for documentation, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, mobility within the office and the capacity to work with children of all ages. Clear verbal and written
communication, along with basic reaching and dexterity skills, are essential for successful performance.
