Philanthropy Leadership Manager at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will closely partner with the President at University Health Foundation as well others on the philanthropy team, to support recruitment, onboarding, retention, cultivation, stewardship, and evaluation of senior development/philanthropy volunteers across the organization. The manager will support and implement engagement strategies to nurture the Foundation relationships with key volunteers, such as Boards and Campaign committees. In addition, this individual will create a culture of engaged philanthropy volunteers, increasing levels of philanthropy volunteer satisfaction, involvement, and effectiveness, helping University Health Foundation meet our ambitious revenue goals.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, OR a combination of education and experience will be considered. Min 2+ years of experience over career in a philanthropy- role that includes communication, project management, social impact activities, and succeeding in an environment of teamwork and partnership. Work within the C-Suite a plus.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with donors of all levels, philanthropy volunteers, community leaders, corporate and foundation representatives, physicians and University Health leadership.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; handle multiple projects and effectively manage and set priorities. Strong analytical and planning skills. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, and experience in Raiser’s Edge a plus.
