Social Work Manager at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the social workers and supporting clerical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow during and after hospitalization. Provide support to the patient and the family. Work with the Manager for Care Coordinators to ensure an interdisciplinary treatment plan of care. Facilitates the delivery of services, evaluates effectiveness, tracks outcomes and functions as the manager of the social work team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. Has served in a lead capacity for at least one year and three years of experience as a practicing social worker. Experience in a hospital setting is required. Preferred: management experience.

LICENSURE

Current licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required. ACP licensure is preferred.
