Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Analyst, People Analytics based in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of people data, applied research, and strategic HR decision-making. You will lead high-impact analytical work that helps HR and business leaders understand what drives workforce outcomes and how to improve them. Rather than just producing reports, you will design insight systems, dashboards, and narratives that directly shape organizational decisions. The environment is highly analytical and modern, leveraging strong data infrastructure and AI-enabled workflows to maximize impact. You will partner closely with senior HR leaders to translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable intelligence. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, values analytical rigor, and cares deeply about decision quality. Your work will directly influence how people strategy is built and executed across the organization.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to understand decision-making needs and design people analytics solutions that connect workforce data to strategic outcomes.
- Build and maintain a suite of interconnected dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring they are intuitive, adoption-focused, and decision-oriented.
- Apply rigorous analytical and research methods to workforce data, ensuring statistical validity and identifying bias, limitations, and meaningful insights.
- Translate complex analyses into clear executive-level insights, framing outputs around decisions, implications, and business impact.
- Develop foundational people analytics frameworks and knowledge models that explain key drivers such as talent density, hiring efficiency, and workforce performance trends.
- Act as a strategic advisor to HR leadership on organizational and workforce challenges using data-driven recommendations.
- Leverage AI-enabled workflows and analytics tools to streamline analysis, documentation, and insight generation.
- Work hands-on with tools such as SQL, Python or R, and enterprise BI platforms to build, validate, and deliver analytical solutions.
This role requires strong experience in people analytics, business intelligence, or quantitative research, ideally within an HR or organizational context. You should be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where framing the right question is as important as solving it. A strong foundation in applied statistics and stakeholder engagement is essential, along with the ability to influence decisions at senior levels.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a quantitative research role, preferably within People/HR analytics.
- Strong understanding of applied research methods, including experimental design, statistical inference, and model validation.
- Proven ability to translate complex data analysis into actionable insights for senior, non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with leadership teams in a consultative, advisory capacity.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, and either Python or R, along with BI and analytics tools.
- Advanced data visualization and storytelling skills with a focus on decision impact.
- Experience working with AI tools to enhance analytical workflows is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and maintain high standards of integrity.
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
- Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions
- Flexible work arrangements and generous paid time off
- Strong learning and development programs, including leadership training and onboarding support
- Employee wellness and assistance programs supporting mental and physical health
- Parental leave support and family-building benefits
- Inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages diverse perspectives and continuous growth
- Access to modern analytics tools, AI-enabled workflows, and advanced data platforms.
