Job Description
Assumption University is accepting resumes for a Human Resources Assistant. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources & Chief Human Resources Officer, this position provides administrative and operational support to the Office of Human Resources and plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality HR services across the University.
The Human Resources Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for employees, applicants, students, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting a wide range of human resources functions. This position assists with employee onboarding, records management, departmental communications, and special events, while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of employee information. The Human Resources Assistant also serves as a backup to the Payroll Specialist, assisting with payroll-related functions and processing student payroll.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding service in support of Assumption University's mission and values.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 2-4 years of administrative support experience.
- Front-line customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Payroll processing experience utilizing computerized software systems.
