Territory Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Sales Manager based in Canada.

This role is responsible for growing industrial sales and market share across Saskatchewan and Manitoba through a strong network of distributors and end users.
You will develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities for revenue and profitability growth.
The position combines consultative selling with technical product expertise, customer education, and field-based account development.
You will train distributors and end users on products and applications while helping customers identify solutions that address their operational needs.
The role is highly field-oriented, involving customer visits, industrial site inspections, trade shows, and approximately 50% travel with overnight stays.
You will use CRM, territory management, and business intelligence tools to plan activities, monitor performance, and achieve annual sales objectives.
This is an opportunity to take full ownership of a defined territory and make a measurable impact within a technically focused industrial sales environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive territory growth: Take full responsibility for sales activities across Saskatchewan and Manitoba, developing and executing plans that support annual revenue, profitability, and market-share objectives.
  • Develop new business: Identify, prospect, and cultivate new relationships with industrial distributors and end users while expanding opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Sell technical solutions: Promote and sell engineered products, programs, and services through the authorized distributor network, connecting customer requirements with appropriate value-added solutions.
  • Build customer relationships: Establish regular customer engagement plans to service existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and strengthen long-term distributor and end-user partnerships.
  • Train and educate customers: Deliver product and application training to distributors and end users, helping them understand new solutions and how they can be applied effectively.
  • Conduct field assessments: Inspect conveyor systems, plant equipment, and manufacturing environments to understand operational requirements and identify opportunities for value-added solutions, including work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Manage territory performance: Use Salesforce, business funnel tools, territory share management systems, and other available data tools to prioritize activities, track opportunities, and support financial performance.
  • Represent the portfolio in the market: Participate in industry trade shows and maintain current knowledge of industry standards, products, applications, and market developments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Industrial sales experience: At least 2 years of relevant industrial sales experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or 4 or more years of industrial sales experience without a relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • Industrial environment experience: Previous experience working in an industrial setting, with the ability to understand customer operations and assess equipment and application requirements.
  • Customer training skills: Experience training customers and end users on products, applications, or technical solutions, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Technology and CRM skills: Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, together with the ability to learn and effectively use CRM and territory management systems.
  • Field readiness: Comfortable conducting customer and equipment inspections in manufacturing environments, including working in close quarters and at heights.
  • Travel and territory coverage: Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time, including overnight stays, and take full ownership of customer activities across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
  • Location and mobility: Candidates are expected to reside in Saskatchewan, with Saskatoon or Regina identified as preferred locations, and must hold a valid driver’s license and passport.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: Expected annual total compensation of CAD $110,000–$160,000, with the potential to exceed this range through strong sales performance above established targets.
  • Performance opportunity: Total compensation reflects sales performance as well as the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and relevant market and business considerations.
  • Field-based autonomy: Opportunity to take ownership of a defined territory and independently manage customer relationships, business development, and sales activities.
  • Professional exposure: Direct interaction with industrial distributors, end users, manufacturing environments, and industry events across the assigned territory.
  • Travel opportunity: Approximately 50% business travel with overnight stays as required.
  • Relocation: No relocation assistance is provided.
