This is a senior marketing leadership opportunity with end-to-end responsibility for an integrated, growth-focused marketing function.
You will shape strategy across paid acquisition, brand, content, PR, social, CRM, partnerships, and cross-sell initiatives.
The role combines commercial accountability with hands-on leadership, requiring a strong connection between marketing activity, customer growth, and revenue.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team while partnering closely with senior leaders across multiple business lines and corporate functions.
A major focus will be strengthening brand authority while evolving content and discovery strategies around AI-powered search and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
You will use data, experimentation, and performance insights to optimize investment, improve customer lifetime value, and identify new growth opportunities.
This is an ideal role for a strategic, commercially minded leader who thrives in a fast-moving, digital-first environment and enjoys turning complex challenges into measurable results.
- Own and execute an integrated marketing strategy spanning brand, acquisition, engagement, retention, and cross-sell, translating company and business-unit objectives into measurable marketing priorities and growth plans.
- Lead qualified lead generation across multiple business lines, establishing clear targets for lead volume, quality, conversion, customer acquisition, and revenue contribution.
- Set the strategic direction and commercial performance of paid marketing across search, social, display, retargeting, and other performance channels, optimizing spend against ROAS, lead quality, conversion, and acquisition economics.
- Lead brand positioning, communications, PR, thought leadership, corporate storytelling, and major integrated campaigns to strengthen market authority and credibility.
- Guide content, social, and GEO strategy, ensuring content is optimized for both traditional search and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms, while leveraging proprietary data and subject-matter expertise.
- Own email, CRM, lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, and cross-sell strategies, using segmentation and personalization to increase conversion, retention, revenue, and customer lifetime value.
- Develop and oversee affiliate, distribution, and strategic partnership initiatives, identifying opportunities that expand reach and generate qualified leads and commercial growth.
- Manage the overall marketing budget and allocate resources across media, content, agencies, partnerships, contractors, and other initiatives based on strategic priorities and measurable business impact.
- Establish KPIs and performance reporting across marketing functions, using data and experimentation to identify opportunities, optimize performance, and support informed decision-making.
- Directly manage, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary marketing team, creating clear expectations, accountability, collaboration, and a high-performance culture.
- Partner with Product, Analytics, Development, Partnerships, and business-unit leaders to align marketing initiatives with customer needs, business objectives, and operational priorities.
- Stay ahead of consumer, competitive, technology, search, and industry trends, identifying new channels, tools, and approaches that can create sustainable growth.
- Step into complex or high-priority initiatives when needed to resolve challenges, unblock teams, make decisions, and accelerate execution.
- 10+ years of marketing experience, including significant experience leading multiple marketing functions and operating at a senior leadership level.
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that generate measurable customer acquisition, qualified leads, revenue, and long-term growth.
- Previous leadership experience in a high-growth, digital-first, technology, financial services, fintech, consumer, marketplace, comparison, or similarly complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of the complete customer journey, from brand awareness and acquisition through conversion, retention, engagement, and cross-sell.
- Demonstrated experience owning lead-generation targets across multiple products, audiences, markets, or business lines.
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and making data-driven decisions regarding channel investment, resource allocation, and commercial priorities.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, paid acquisition, content, social, PR, CRM, lifecycle marketing, partnerships, and emerging digital platforms.
- Familiarity with evolving search and discovery technologies, including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-powered search, with an ability to distinguish meaningful opportunities from hype.
- Proven ability to build, manage, coach, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary marketing teams.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to connect marketing performance to business outcomes and financial impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, internal teams, external partners, agencies, and media.
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to focus resources on the highest-impact opportunities in a fast-changing environment.
- Highly collaborative and influential, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and drive initiatives without relying solely on direct authority.
- Comfortable working in an environment that values experimentation, measurement, iteration, responsible risk-taking, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, marketplaces, comparison businesses, or other regulated industries is considered an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Competitive annual salary of approximately $165,000–$185,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Remote-first working environment with flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada.
- Flexible working hours designed to support autonomy and work-life balance.
- Individual training allowance to support ongoing professional development and career growth.
- Regular remote and in-person team socials and opportunities to build connections across the organization.
- Opportunity to lead a high-impact marketing function across multiple business lines and growth channels.
- Inclusive workplace that welcomes diverse perspectives and provides accommodations during the recruitment process when required.
- 12-month contract opportunity with significant strategic and commercial ownership.
- A collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on customer needs, measurable outcomes, experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
