Job Description

Position: Information Assurance Specialist III (ISSO)

Clearance Requirements: Active Secret Required

Primary Location: Arlington, VA and/or Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with assignments in Arlington, Virginia, as required.

Role SummaryODRG is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Specialist (ISSO) to support five Information Management and Technology portfolios and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across assigned DSCA systems. You will provide security expertise for traditional and cloud-native architectures in Amazon Web Services environments and approved Software as a Service solution, integrating security throughout the system lifecycle and supporting cyber survivability.
Key Responsibilities
    Security Compliance monitoring with control validation support. Identification of collected evidence and documentation development. Maintain RMF Artifacts and documentation. Coordinate POA&M activities and authorization packages.Support cybersecurity activities across five IM&T portfolios and assigned DSCA information systems.Safeguard data stored on or transmitted through assigned systems.Provide security guidance for traditional AWS cloud-native, and approved SaaS environments.Integrate security requirements and controls throughout the full system lifecycle.Assess DoW security requirements and support cyber survivability objectives.Perform ISSO duties in accordance with DoW and organizational policies, procedures, and the Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide.Complete duties requiring SIPR access on site at an approved DSCA location.

Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance.
    • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field; 3+ years of experience in RMF or system security. Alternatively, 7+ years of directly relevant experience without a degree. Must have an understanding of DoW RMF, NIST 800-37, and security authorization.Experience evaluating security vulnerabilities on DoW Networks. Experience performing ISSO or comparable information assurance and cybersecurity responsibilities.Knowledge of FedRAMP, DoW Impact Levels, and the DoW Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide.Experience securing AWS environments, SaaS solutions, or comparable cloud architecture.Ability to interpret and apply security requirements across the system lifecycle.
Work LocationWork is performed within and outside the National Capital Region, primarily in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, where most of the cybersecurity team is based, and in Arlington, Virginia. Duties requiring SIPR access must be completed at an approved DSCA facility. CompensationAs of yet, no pay range has been determined. Actual compensation may vary based on location, responsibilities, contract affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and market data.
