Job Description

Make a Difference Every Day

Looking for a nursing role with a school-nurse feel?

At Misericordia, the Developmental Training (DT) Nurse is a unique nursing assignment supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while they participate in their daytime programming. Much like a school nurse, you serve as the clinical point person during the program day: managing scheduled medications, assessing residents who become ill or have a medical concern, triaging needs, and communicating important information back to the resident's primary/area nurse.

Rather than carrying a traditional inpatient or long-term-care assignment, you support residents as they take part in their daily programming and help ensure that medical needs arising during the day are appropriately assessed, addressed, and communicated back to their residential nursing team.

This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys assessment, triage, medication management, communication, and working independently in a structured daytime environment.
