This is a senior leadership role at the forefront of enterprise AI transformation, responsible for defining and scaling next-generation AI platforms that power predictive analytics, automation, and real-time decision systems. You will lead the design and execution of a company-wide AI strategy, building robust machine learning infrastructure and modern MLOps capabilities across cloud environments. The role requires deep expertise in large-scale AI systems, including LLMs and multimodal models, combined with strong leadership in building high-performing technical teams. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, data, and operations leaders to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into scalable production solutions. This position plays a critical role in advancing AI maturity across the organization while ensuring responsible AI practices and governance. It is ideal for a visionary technical leader who can bridge advanced research, platform engineering, and business outcomes at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the enterprise AI platform roadmap aligned with strategic business objectives and long-term technology vision.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI systems, including LLMs, transformer models, computer vision, and multimodal solutions.
  • Oversee the full AI lifecycle, including data engineering, model development, training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
  • Build and scale AI infrastructure across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), leveraging distributed computing with GPUs and TPUs.
  • Implement robust MLOps frameworks for CI/CD, model governance, observability, performance tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders across engineering, product, data, security, and operations to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary AI organization including ML engineers, data engineers, and AI platform specialists.
  • Establish and enforce responsible AI practices covering fairness, bias mitigation, transparency, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive measurable business impact through AI-enabled improvements in efficiency, reliability, customer experience, and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or advanced analytics with production-grade system delivery.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing AI, ML, or data science engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in transformer-based architectures (GPT, BERT, T5) and experience with LLMs, computer vision, and multimodal AI systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise-grade AI platforms in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of MLOps practices including CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, feature stores, and data pipelines.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and distributed training systems using GPUs/TPUs.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into AI strategy, technical roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, model risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $300,000 to $315,000 CAD depending on experience.
  • Executive-level opportunity to shape enterprise-wide AI strategy and platform architecture.
  • High-impact role driving real-world applications of advanced AI at scale.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in LLMs, multimodal AI, and distributed AI infrastructure.
  • Strong focus on innovation, experimentation, and AI-driven business transformation.
  • Leadership opportunity to build and scale a world-class AI engineering organization.
  • Inclusive, forward-thinking environment focused on technical excellence and responsible AI.
