It is ideal for someone passionate about cloud architecture, automation, and building high-performing operational teams in a regulated, enterprise environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee production deployments and ensure smooth operation of cloud-based systems across Azure and AWS platforms.
  • Lead and prioritize activities for the Cloud Operations team, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and performance baselines using KPIs, ensuring proactive detection and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure cloud systems meet security, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements, including SOC2 standards.
  • Develop incident management processes, including escalation paths, remediation plans, and root-cause analysis frameworks.
  • Drive infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to improve observability, security posture, and operational maturity.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimization, including the use of AI tools for operations enhancement.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing cloud environments across AWS and Azure in production settings.
  • Strong leadership experience managing Cloud Operations, DevOps, or Infrastructure teams.
  • Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in DevOps and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Datadog or New Relic.
  • Strong scripting or programming ability (e.g., Python, Go, C#, Ruby, PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles, vulnerabilities, and incident response practices.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks such as SOC2 (preferred ISO 27001 or GDPR exposure).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High analytical capability, strong time management, and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with AI tools applied to DevOps, automation, or monitoring is an advantage.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $135,000 CAD depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to lead cloud operations for large-scale, mission-critical enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Exposure to modern cloud technologies across AWS and Azure environments.
  • Strong focus on DevOps innovation, automation, and AI-enhanced operational practices.
  • Career growth within a global software organization with diverse product ecosystems.
  • Inclusive and collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Opportunity to shape cloud strategy, reliability standards, and operational maturity.
